THE NEW OWNERS HAVE MADE SOME GREAT IMPROVEMENTS
Chose this hotel for a girl’s trip and we had such a great week. The staff are incredible! They are all so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The new Canadian owners have made some great improvements, and you can really see how much they care about making guests feel comfortable. They show all major sports in the bar, and the drinks are great with the best prices in town. Make sure to try one of the slushies!
The pool area is awesome, there’s plenty of seating in a totally relaxed atmosphere.
The location can’t get any better, just steps from the beach and close to everything in town. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a friendly clean place to stay within budget

THE VERY BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
Very best experience of my life. Rustic, authentic rooms that were very clean and great A/C when needed on those hot days.
The free breakfast was amazing every day, the staff were incredible and the price was well within my budget. Easy to book, the hotel set up all my transfers and tours. Thank you Jodi for the opportunity to visit Samara.

AN AMAZING STAY
As a solo traveler, I had the most amazing stay at Soulara Hotel in Samara. This place is an absolute gem. The hotel is super clean, well-cared for and in the perfect location – just a short walk to the beach and right near all the shops and bars in town.
The vibe here was the best. Lots of sunshine, a relaxed atmosphere, and just overall great energy around the property. It’s the kind of place that you instantly feel like you’re on a beachside vacation.
The staff really make the experience special. Bryan, the hotel manager is amazing, and he goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a great stay.
The restaurant is excellent with good healthy food, the drink prices are the best in town that we found, and the free breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. If you are looking for a clean, welcoming hotel with great vibes and perfect location – Soulara is the place to book. Will definitely be back!

HOWLER MONKEYS AT OUR WINDOW!
We booked the King Suite for 10 days for a romantic getaway, and it was top notch. A small-town beach vibe experience and we soaked it up every day.
We had a mini fridge to keep our drinks cool, watched hockey in the bar and got served free breakfast every morning (which was delicious by the way). One morning we had howler monkeys right at our window, what a cool experience to wake up to! Twice during our stay there was live music at the hotel, another added bonus.
I never worried about my stuff in the room as we could see cameras and a locked gate at night. The cleaners cleaned our room every day, and the staff were extremely friendly, most speak English which made it easier for us too. All this for under $100 a night was unbelievable to us!
Our trip to Costa Rica was a bucket list trip and Soulara Hotel and Retreats made our experience a 10/10!
Can’t wait to be back, we reserved our next stay before we even left. Thank you Skip!
